2020 Marion Vintage Races
Race Rules by Class 


 Youth Races: (Entry Fee $10.00)

  1. Kitty Cat stock:  (Ages 4-7) 50cc max must have stock gearing.
  2. 120 Stock: (Ages 12 and under) 120cc max must have stock gearing, Must have Working tether, (Traction control not required)
  3. 120 Improved:(Ages 12 and under) 120cc max, may have non stock gearing, and pipe.  Must have 120cc original snowmobile engine, no aftermarket engines allowed and working tether.  Traction Control is recommended, (but not required)
  4. 120 Super Stock:  (Ages 12 and under) 120cc max, anything goes, any clutch, gearing, pipes, etc. must have working tether, can use aftermarket engine, Single cylinders only, Traction Control is mandatory! (Studded track and minimum 4” carbide on skis.
  5. Youth HR Single Stock: (Ages 8-12) 340cc max, Single Cylinder only.  No big bore carburetors allowed in HR class.  HR flange with HD throat. All Stock Class Rules apply.

Adult Races 1974 & Older Stock Classes: (Entry Fee $20.00)

    6.  HR Single Stock: 340cc max, Single Cylinder only.  No big bore carburetors allowed in HR class.  HR flange with HD   throat. All Stock Class Rules apply. 
    7.  340 Twin Stock Fan: 340cc Max, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
    8.  340 Twin Stock Free Air: 340cc Max, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
    9.  440 Twin Stock Fan: 440 Max, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
   10. 440 Twin Stock Free Air: 440cc Max, all Stock Class Rules apply. 

Mid-Day Fun Races: (Entry Fee $20.00)

   11.  59 & Older Class: 1974 & Older, 440 max, Stock Class Sleds only, Fan, Free Air, & Liquids will all run together.  Must be 59yrs & Older.  All Stock Class Rules apply. 
   12.  2 Man Hot Dog Race: 1972 and older 250cc max HR Single cylinder only.  3 member teams.  1 handler and 2 drivers.  This is a 2 lap Race First lap, driver 1 eats hot dog.  Second lap driver 2 carries water.  First team to cross finish line with water in there cup is winner!
    13.  Obsolete Class:  1974 and older, 340cc max, Sled must be a company that no longer manufactures snowmobiles.  All stock rules apply.
     14.  Vintage Pro Class: 1975 & Older Pro Sleds. Chassis must be manufactured before Jul 1975.  All factory race sleds. Z's, Blizzards Magnums, TX’s etc. Engine modifications not to exceed .020 overbore. Any pipes, skis, seats.  All other components must be of 1975 era.
 
Adult Races 1980 & Older Stock & Imp: (Entry Fee $20.00)

     15.  340 Improved: 340cc max, 1980 & Older, all improved rules apply.  Fan, Free Air & Liquids will all run together in this class.  Improved Class Rules apply plus will be allowed to run Northstar skiis.   
     16.  440 Improved: 440cc max, 1980 & Older, all improved rules apply.  Fan, Free Air & Liquids will all run together in this class.  Improved Class Rules apply plus will be allowed to run Northstar skiis
     17.  340 Fan: 340cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
     18.  340 Free Air: 340cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
     19.  340 Liquid: 340cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
     20.  440 Fan: 440cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
     21.  440 Free Air: 440cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply. 
     22.  440 Liquid: 440cc max, 1980 & Older, all Stock Class Rules apply.

    23. 440 Fan: 440cc max, 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    24. 440 Free Air: 440cc max, 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    25. 340 Fan: 340cc max, 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    26. 340 Free Air: 340cc max, 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    27. HD Single:  340cc max 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    28. HR Single: 340cc max 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply. 
    29. Mikuni Single: 340cc max 1974 & Older, all Improved Class Rules apply.
